Introduction to Harold Boeschenstein
After
the end of “Children Will Listen, band immediately
goes into “Pink Panther” music bumper. Two
presenters go to the stage both dressed as Inspector
Clouseau from The Pink Panther. One is much
smaller than the other.
They both speak in a thick French accent.
INSPECTOR
SENIOR (Kevin)
Good eve
ning ladies and gentlemen, I am Inspector Clouseau … (looks
at Junior) … Senior.
INSPECTOR
JUNIOR (Jordan)
Inspector Clouseau, Junior…at your service.
SENIOR
Of course, normally there is only one of us.
JUNIOR
But this was so important, we decided to be doubly
prepared!
SENIOR
We must ask you not to leave zee premises, as we have
received a report of a Pink Fiberglas operative.
JUNIOR
And when I hear pink, we see red.
SENIOR
Zees operative is in our midst on behalf of one Harold
Boeshenstein, a brilliant man in heez own right.
JUNIOR
And possibly heez own left.
SENIOR
What?
JUNIOR
He may have been ambidextrous.
SENIOR
He is famous for his work at Owens-Corning, a fiberglass
company. As you know, fiberglass makes insulation,
boat-bottoms…
JUNIOR
And eetching powder, which eez a good way to get back at
somebody for stealing your fromage. So I hear.
SENIOR
(scratching)
We’ll talk
about zees later. Now! This Boeschenstein was not only a
prominent businessman, but served heez president during
the Second World War. He was brilliant, patriotic,
philanthropic…
JUNIOR
And an excellent golfer
SENIOR
Yes, but that may all just be a front! We have completed
our surveillance and submit the results for your
consideration.
JUNIOR
You be zee judge. Roll ze film!
