Bio

Stan is a Minnesota playwright,  member of the Dramatists' Guild and Minneapolis Playwright's Center, native Wisconsinite, former Charlottean, certified pizza and hoagie maker, ordained minister, hippie drum circle aficionado and recovering actor. Stan likes to watch movies, record music, draw sketches and cartoons and do nearly anything related to theatre. He currently works on the Production and Marketing teams at The Commonweal Theatre in beautiful Lanesboro, Minnesota. Stop by and bring your bike. He also does freelance copywriting and waits the occasional table (primarily to keep his employee discount at the best burger joint and coffee bar in southeastern MN).

Places that have affected Stan profoundly: State Street in Madison, Wisconsin; The Mormon Tabernacle in Salt Lake City, Utah; the Cathedral of St Frances in Assisi, Italy; Rocky Mountain Repertory Theatre in Grand Lake, Colorado; Camp Christikon near Big Timber, Montana; NYCFringe in New York, and places in Minneapolis/St. Paul too numerous to mention.

Stan is a big sci-fi and Ren-fest geek. He likes to write about religion and mythology. He is a happily married feminist who enjoys drawing pictures of buxom women. He records novelty songs and spends far too much of his time on FaceBook.

He likes nearly all movies, television and music, but is a vocal fan of Quentin Tarantino, Joss Whedon, Carl Sagan, the Beatles, Star Wars, Star Trek, Lost and Project Runway, the Bachelor and The Bachelorette. He is not ashamed of this, nor the fact that he reads very little, though he is a big fan of Cosmos, the Bible, All My Best Friends by George Burns, and anything written by Joseph Campbell.

Stan is shy and soft-spoken, but is usually thinking something completely inappropriate.
